Project Overview
Problem
To be specific, Digital Amoeba is Corporate Innovation Lab by Telkom Indonesia that incubate innovation from Telkom Group employees to develop digital products or solutions that can become revenue generators for Telkom future. Telkom did not then have a central platform for generating and managing the ideas.
Outcome
We want the innovation manager and innovator, who work for the Telkom Group, to feel at ease, secure, and in control while producing and managing ideas in only one platform.
Output
We develop the product using user personas and paint points that we have already gathered through user research when users manually generate ideas in the Digital Amoeba program. This is how the company came up with the concept for the idea crowdsourcing platform known as ideaboxapp.
Goal
We want to see an increase in the number of innovators that submit ideas to the digital amoeba program, to selecting more high-quality ideas to incubate.
Starting Point
Before we build ideabox, innovators manually submit their idea using online from builder such as typeform and google form. It is such a waste of time to submit and collect the ideas for innovator and innovation manager itself. That's why we've been working to develop ideabox in order to make it easier for users to accomplish their goals.
We do this by using the design sprint process and an agile development approach with input from all project participants by utilizing our in-house kanban tools which is board.digitalamoeba.id

Output
Four key features stand out from all of the work we did as the solutions to the problems we discovered during user research. And it makes it more easy for innovation managers and innovators to do their jobs.
Idea Bank
Idea bank is a feature that enables innovators to submit their ideas and view those of others on a single platform, much like sharing a post on social media.
Real time insights
With real time insights you as an Innovator maanger can track and download real-time insight to observe data insight from the idea itself and user in ideabox.
Team matchmaking
Team matchmaking is particularly helpful for fostering collaboration and community among innovators on the idea you want to build. As an Innovator, you can participate or invite others to help develop the idea.
Event management
You may utilize the feature event and event management to create several innovation events on the Ideabox platform so the innovators in Ideabox can engage in ways that are appropriate for your needs and enable you to submit ideas for selection.
Result and take away
Users do feel helped by the platform ideabox since we approach the problem from an existing position. It now allows innovators and innovation manager to submit and monitor the ideas with ease. But it didn't stop us from improving based on periodic research and data from a google analytics.
We have so far seen improvements and comments in the following areas:
By contributing ideas and joining those of other innovators, innovators can work together and create a community in the ideabox.
An innovation manager can pick and manage ideas by downloading data on users and ideas in accordance with their requirements.
Ideabox still requires certain user experience and server improvements based on usability testing and quality assurance that we have already conducted so that users can utilize ideabox more comfortably in the future.
